Coming via the Brenner motorway A22: take the Brenner motorway A22 to Bressanone / Val Pusteria, exit at Varna, then head towards Brunico – Val Pusteria. Follow the signs for Valle Aurina near Brunico. After around 5 km, you’ll reach Gais – take the first exit at the roundabout. After the bridge, turn left and follow the signs.
Coming via Mestre – A27: from Venice / Mestre, take the A27 towards Belluno and pass through Cortina to Dobbiaco. From there, head towards Brunico. Before reaching Brunico, turn off towards Valle Aurina and continue for 5 km to Gais. Take the first exit at the roundabout, turn left after the bridge, and follow the signs.
Take the train to Franzensfeste (Fortezza) station. Change there to continue into the Val Pusteria valley. Once you reach Brunico, you can easily take a taxi, shuttle, or the local bus to Gais. Bus line 450 takes you directly to Gais. Get off at the “Gais Dorf” stop (after the roundabout/bridge). Buses run every 15 to 30 minutes, providing regular connections between Gais and Brunico. Your apartment is just 200 metres from the bus stop.
